I knew a friend wasn’t feeling too chipper – she reached out via a text that said “Feeling really depressed and not sure why.” This is not usually Merry! (yes – her name really is Merry!) Of course I texted back that we’d pray for her…
But the story continues.
Today on her Facebook account, Merry posted:
Merry is thankful for a husband who knows how much I love Christmas, and on a day when I was feeling stressed out, calls me and tells me what radio station is already playing Christmas music!
Now that’s Encouragement in Action!
Her husband knew what would cheer his wife up – he knows the things she loves, and takes action.
Go Ryan!
I’ll second that – go Ryan. I love the little things.
You’re right, Bonnie – It’s the little things that add up to make a positive impact! No action is too small…
How can “Merry” ever be sad, with a name like that? Cute story! Thanks for sharing.
It is a cute experience! Just showing that it doesn’t take huge gestures to support someone, only a bit of thoughtfulness.
Thanks for dropping in – I wish you moments of unexpected joy with the one you love!
Hi Lori:
Your writing is very interesting and meaningful and I enjoy reading it! I only recently found your site and don’t even remember how. Keep up the good work. We are in the Hong Kong airport waiting for our flight back home. Our two years in Asia are almost over. Take care, Connie & Mike
Hello Connie & Mike! Thank you for your kind words and I’m thrilled you “found” me! I’m sure you have many stories about your time in Asia – I’d love to listen the next time we’re all in the same city… (LOL) Wishing you safe travels.
