In the midst of daily life,
sometimes your spouse needs to go beyond
what they think they can do.
You can help.
Your spouse can go further with a bit of encouragement.
Truly.
Sometimes the incline seems daunting.
(and your spouse is saying to themselves, “I can’t do that…”)
But with a bit of encouragement your spouse can go further
than they thought.
And sometimes the way is a bit uneven…
(and they’re saying to themselves, “I can’t do that…”)
But with encouragement,
just a bit,
your spouse can go further than they thought they could.
Encourage Your Spouse
If you provide the encouragement, your spouse will go further than they thought they could.
Robert and I have been traveling for 4 months.
It’s been a very different experience compared to my former sedentary life…
I was a very good “sitter”.
(I sat well. I was good at sitting.)
But this traveling life has taken away my ease – it’s required a lot more movement.
Sometimes I didn’t think I could go very far.
But Rob encouraged me.
He would say,
“You can do it.”
And I did.
And I was happy I tried.
(No marathons, no running, no hiking etc. Just more movement. Often.)
If you encourage your spouse,
he or she will go further than they think they can…
Encouragement.
It needs to start somewhere… why not with you?
Yes.
Encouragement.
It needs to start somewhere… why not with you?
How can you encourage your spouse today?
What are we reading?
Robert is reading Patrick Lencioni’s
The Advantage: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else In Business
and I’m reading Beth Redman’s
